The cottage is self-contained, private and cosy - from the sundrenched veranda to the fully refurbished interior with new kitchen, bathroom with shower, laundry, 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 single) and lounge room – heated with heat pumps and open fire option in winter.

The gorgeous, casual country décor with fine bed linens, fluffy towels, sumptuous couches all ensure a special romantic escape, a relaxing family retreat or a restorative travellers stay.

Cottage guests also have the option to stroll through the grounds and gardens of the estate, take a dip in the pool and sun themselves in the pool courtyard or take a bike ride around the estate or further if feeling energetic.

Okuku is a great base for exploring - from the shops and culture of Christchurch City, the vineyards of Waipara, ski fields of Mt Hutt and Arthur's Pass, to the cafes, homestores and country markets of Rangiora and Oxford, not forgetting fishing, golf, trekking or picnicking at the Ashley Gorge.
